European Federation of Data Protection Officers (EFDPO) AISBL

The European Federation of Data Protection Officers (EFDPO) is a European network of national associations of data protection and privacy officers. Their mission is to establish a European representation of interests for DPOs as a partner of institutions such as the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, the European Data Protection Board and national data protection authorities. Their main objectives are to create a European network of national associations to exchange information, experience and methods; a continuous dialogue with the political sphere, business representatives and civil society to ensure a flow of information from the European to the national level; to proactively monitor, evaluate and shape the implementation of the GDPR and other European privacy legal acts; to keep the existing rules for DPOs as their minimum objective; to promote high qualification standards for DPOs and improve the quality of training and professional practice.
